Giving a helping hand in time of need fosters a strong community spirit among the provincial people.
When I was young, growing in the province was full of energy and the learning curve of social and spiritual values were inculcated at tender years.
One of them is Bayanihan, a traditional way of house moving using physical strength and labor of fellowmen in the neighbourhood. The house is emptied before it is carried on the shoulders by men to move it from one place to another.
In return, the house owner prepares food to feed the labourers, no less than the helping mates or neighbours, after the task is done.
